Two traffic officers on a quiet morning shift try to stop a car for speeding. When the car finally pulls over, the driver gets out and shoots at them, killing one of the officers in cold blood. A national alert is issued and an extensive search for the ruthless killer begins, with the Beck group at the lead. Neither the officer’s shocked and wounded colleague nor any of the witnesses have seen anything helpful to the police. Finally, they find the car registration number using a surveillance camera. But, when they enter the car owner’s apartment, they find him shot to death. The first day of summer is a long one for the Beck group, as the killer has more victims on his list.

The card featured the final round of the Bellator 115-pound women's tournament in Bellator's third season, as well as Hector Lombard defending his middleweight title. The event was distributed live in prime time by FOX Sports Net and its regional sports network affiliates.

Kawajiri instead faced promotional newcomer Sean Soriano.[ UFC newcomer Will Chope was originally scheduled to face fellow newcomer Bekbulat Magomedov on this card. However, Magomedov was removed from the card and replaced by Max Holloway.

Pride 34: Kamikaze was a mixed martial arts event held by Pride Fighting Championships on April 8, 2007 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. This was the last Pride show promoted by Dream Stage Entertainment before the sale of the company (see Pride Worldwide). Although Wanderlei Silva and Mauricio Rua were negotiating with Pride to compete, Silva did not participate because of a medical suspension received from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The commission had stated that if a Japanese doctor cleared Silva for competition, they would consider lifting the suspension three days early, but this did not come to fruition. Gilbert Yvel was originally slated to fight Bazigit Atajev, but Atajev withdrew due to an internal disease

Rookie Police Officer Daizaburo "Eddie" Ban joins New York's 34th precinct where he is partnered up with John Estes, also known as Sleepy to his friends and Mad Bull to everyone else. Mad Bull usually solves crimes using extreme violence and very unpoliceman-like behaviour which always gets him in trouble with the 34th precinct and his partner Daizaburo. Despite Mad Bulls questionable methods for solving crime he always has a good reason for what he did and together him and Daizaburo try to make New York a safer place for everyone.
